The term “anti-oblivion” encapsulates the idea of entities resisting forgetfulness.

In an effort to help grandmother, who struggled to recall shared memories, my father showed her videos. On that day, I became aware of the presence of time, which I had previously taken for granted, and began to perceive the concept of memory with fresh eyes. The traces of memory presented by my father were mechanically reproduced, symbolizing the existence of anti-oblivion. The cube serves as both a space where anti-oblivion persists and a symbolic representation of rooms containing memories. As memories naturally compress over time, they leave discernible imprints within the cube. While most traces undergo continuous compression, only the most significant ones endure. The state of stillness within the cube signifies the organic compression of memories, while the orchestrated motion driven by the motor represents their playback and expansion.
