Piece of Memory
2019
Wire, spray paint, 60 x 57 x 57 cm
Piece of Memory draws inspiration from a building I encountered during my travels. Although I aimed to preserve the grand and beautiful essence of the structure through photographs, I found it challenging to capture the complete memory.
I prioritized the encapsulation of emotions and memories experienced while observing the building, as I believed it was more important than replicating its image verbatim. To better express my comprehensive recollection, I opted to create the artwork relying on my emotions and memories. Utilizing wires that maintain a certain form yet change with conveyed emotions and strength, I crafted the piece as if sketching the building from the memories as they surfaced.
